FAQs
Q. What is the hardware and software architecture of the computer section in the AudioNec servers?
A. The servers run on Windows 7, the architecture of the computer inside is a PC mother board

Q. Is the server software locked or open to changes?
A. To ensure stability and reliability of the computer part of the server, the system is locked.
Users can of course browse the Internet, download music in high resolution, manage their library etc, but can not change the settings of the system.

Q. What is the pre-installed standard player application?
A. We selected a player that combines a great looking customisable user interface with excellent sonic performance. This player is a market standard, but naturally we paid the utmost attention to optimise its system environment in order to extract the highest level of musical performance.

Q. What other applications are installed on your High End Music Servers?
A. The servers can be supplied with optional software and hardware to make sophisticated digital room acoustic correction available.

Q. Does the server allow to play back video files?
A. In fact the servers are supplied with a DVD drive instead of the standard CD drive, allowing the use of the new uncompressed High Resolution (24/192) DVDR disks the music editors begin to deliver.
It also allows video playing.

Q. Where are the musical files stored?
A. Two possibilities : using only memory disks that can be raisonably done until a volume of 2.4 Terra Bytes or using a dedicated storage unit used via an optical fiber link from another room in order to avoid any noise and to get a capacity that is usually between 1 and 16 Terra Bytes, enough to satisfy the most demanding storage requirements.

Q. How does the backup of the files work?
A. Two backup strategies are available:
1 The dedicated storage unit if installed (see previous FAQ) is working in RAID 5 mode in order to allow the replacement of a defective hard disk without any data lost.
2. We also provide a service that saves backup files on our own secure encrypted servers via the internet. This option provides an automatic, reliable and quiet backup of your music data.

Q. And the Multi-Room?
A. Our servers are designed with the aim to replace the best available stereo music sources available. This makes only sense, when they are combined with other audio components that perform at an equally high level. It is really rare to find a situation where more than one truly high end system is available. Therefore we do not aim to provide multi-room functions as a standard. However, we will gladly discuss a specialised installation for customers with multiple room high end configurations.

Q. What is your distributors network ?
A. Actualy we distribute directly to the final user in order to allow the music enthusiasts to access real High End Music Servers at realistic prices.
We continue to build a certified correspondent network to provide further listening sessions and support.

Q. What are the prices of your products?
A. Final prices depend on the actual configuration; please contact us to learn more about the available options and for a price quotation. We gladly discuss the perfect solution for you
