 To all music and concert lovers, our commitment is to provide a Speaker that can transport you through time and space and create that magical moment : you are right there in a live performance. But of course, you are still at home and recording after recording you do not tire of this incredible experience. Everything is available, not just the finest details, but also this incredible energy, striking dynamics and the subtle nuances within the voices as within each instrument. Far from just reproducing sound effects, we transport you to the musical performance of each recording.. At the begining of the "Answer" project our design goal was to conceive a speaker that could overcome the typical chalenges met by a large majority of speakers even in the very high-end of audio. Those challenges are mainly linked to 2 characteristics common speakers share today: they use boxes and require passive filters. What is the problem with the boxes? A speaker driver like a cone creates direct sound waves that go to the listener, but also sound waves that go to the rear and travel inside the speaker enclosure. After many reflections inside the box, the sound waves will eventually hit the rear of the driver itself, creating undesired sound output. This unwanted sound is late and with all interferences can not be clean. Of course the absorbent material in the box is aimed to absorb the rear sound waves; it is an evidence that it can not absorb everything as it should. It is really very instructive to put a microphone in the box to really feel realise what happens inside. Also, the sound energy inside the box can cause the walls of the speaker enclosure to resonate and produce additional sound colorations, often referred to as “boxiness” of the sound. In our "Answer" and "Answer Signature" design, all drivers are used without any box, avoiding all of the problems associated with the box speaker designs. The passive filtering is the second problem our "Answer" speaker does not face. Of course it is possible to design complex filters that can bring correct response curves and minimize the interactions between the drivers. The problem is a significant downside regarding the transient response, the dynamics and the phase linearity.  The AudioNec "Answer" and "Answer Signature" are open speakers design witout any box that and require no passive filter. Those 2 models are available with our integrated amplification modules or in a way that allows the user to power them with 2 mono blocks of his choice (one per speaker), keeping our amplification modules for the bass section or with a stereo amplifier per speaker or with 2 mono blocks per speaker."Answer" and "Answer Signature" are also dipole speakers that make it easier to achieve a clean frequency response install in the room and create a realistic sound stage. You do not listen to the sound coming from the speakers, you listen to the music. To make this happen we use an exceptional main driver that is wide band from 200 Hz to 20000 Hz, with a high efficiency of over 100 dB per Watt at 1 meter. This ultra fast and dynamic main driver is built in France by AudioNec. To complete this exceptional design, we needed a matching bass section that works as an open baffle design and also as a dipole. This has been implemented also in an innovative unusual way with a 75 cm square flat bass panel. The bass section of the "Answer" and "Answer Signature" uses 4 of those exceptional panels in an open design that works from 15 Hz to 200 Hz. To complete those new drivers we added a ribbon super tweeter that covers the frequencies from 20 kHz to 45 kHz. Altogether the result is really exceptional with tremendous speed, a natural balance and unparalleled dynamics. Having this exceptional speaker, we had to ensure that it can be integrated into the listening room the best way. As you know, the room is one of the deciding factors about the sound quality of any system. Therefore the advanced DSP system of the "Answer" and "Answer Signature" speakers not only brings the drivers and their integration close to perfection, it also provides the ability to include one of the most sophisticated room acoustic correction system you could imagine. Signal input to the "Answer" and "Answer Signature" speakers can be provided analog via XLR balanced or RCA unbalanced connection from any preamplifier or digital via AES/EBU, as for instance from our AudioNec music server. Amplification for the bass section: integrated 400W module or a mono amplification block of your choice per speaker Amplification for the midrange and trebble section: integrated 180W module or a mono amplification block of your choice per speaker The answer can also be powered by a stereo amplifier of your choice per speaker as you can use our integrated amplifier modules for the bass section and your usual amplifier for the midrange and trebble. After having the "Answer" developped and knowing the wide potential it has, we decided to conceive the Signature version where each component is reaching the summits. "Answer Signature" speakers accepts 24 bits 192 kHz digital imputs, all amplifiers have been improved to the limit. The "Answer Signature" internal wiring is silver gold and some of the structure materials have been optimized. the "Answer Signature" Speaker allows a larger "Sweet Spot" and keeps the wonderfull 3D image of the "Answer" serie.
